A Peerceptiv Live Presentation assignment allows you to select who you will review. These are most commonly used for classes where students will be presenting in class while their peers review the presentation. Check the deadline for your specific assignment because you may have been given extra time before the assignment deadline ends to finish your reviews. Once you have completed and submitted a presentation review, you cannot go back and edit it.
Submission
You, or a group member if it is a group assignment, may need to submit in Peerceptiv, even if you are not uploading anything. In some cases, your instructor may submit for you, but if you are submitting, please follow these steps. NOTE: If you are presenting, then you, a group member, or your instructor must go through the submission steps so that your presentation is available for peers to review.
1. Either click on the link for the assignment in your LMS course (Canvas, Blackboard, Brightspace, etc.) or log into Peerceptiv directly. Go to the presentation assignment.
2. Click Submit. If you are required to submit slides or another file or link, you must click on File Upload or Submit Link to upload those materials. If you are not required to submit anything, click In-Class Presentation, which may be the only option.
With the "In-Class Presentation" option, you do NOT need to submit anything, but you do need to click Continue, Confirm & Submit, and Done even though you are not submitting anything. This must happen before your presentation. If you need to upload a file or link, DO NOT click "In-Class Presentation" and click one of the other options to upload those materials. Please note you will only be allowed one submission option, so for example, if you have to upload a paper and a link, choose file upload and submit a paper file with the link on it.
Note: In Live Presentation assignments, you can review peer submissions or presentations before you submit your own. However, your peers cannot review your presentation until you submit, so please take care of this before you present.
Review
In Live Presentation assignments, you can begin to review as soon as other people have submitted. However, you cannot edit or re-do any reviews after you have submitted them, so please wait until you have seen the peer work before you submit your review.
To review, click on a peer's name or group name. If you click on the wrong one, just use the back arrow to get back to the assignment dashboard and list of names.
- Provide detailed, specific feedback in your comments.
- Select the ratings that the presentation deserves according to the rubric.
- Submit the review when you are finished. You cannot return and edit it after you have submitted the review.
- Repeat this process for as many reviews as you are required to do. You may be reviewing all available presentations.
Results
Live Presentation assignments are over when the reviewing period deadline passes. In most cases, you will be able to see the average ratings that your presentation received, comments from the reviewers, and your accuracy as a reviewer. The overall grade that is generated will typically be based on your submission grade, reviewing accuracy, and task completion. Your instructor may have customized the grade results, so please check the grade weight calculations and any information about the assignment grades in the syllabus or assignment description.
