These are student directions for completing a Team Member Points Allocation assignment. This assignment may be a stand-alone assignment, or it may be part of a group Peer Assessment assignment, in which you submit and review student work. This article will cover how to complete a Points Allocation task; please look at these related articles if you need to Create or Join a Group or complete a Rubric-based Team Member Evaluation.
To complete this task, you should be part of a group in Peerceptiv and should open the Team Member Evaluation Points Allocation assignment in your course. In this task, you have to decide how to divide 100 points among your group members to represent their contribution to the project or group work. You will have to write a comment if you give team members significantly more or fewer points than the average, and you may need to write a comment to explain your reasoning for all group members' points. In Points Allocation assignments, all comments are confidential and only visible to the instructor. If there is a grade for the assignment in Peerceptiv, it will be completion-based and you will receive full credit for completing the task.
From the Peerceptiv assignment dashboard, click Evaluate and then click on Start by any group member's name. Assign points to each group member and possibly yourself, if your instructor selected that option. The total number of points must equal 100.
You may need to leave a comment about one or more of your group members. Any comments in Points Allocation assignments are confidential and will not be seen by your classmates. When you are done, click Submit. You can edit your responses in a sync mode Peerceptiv course until the deadline.
Team Member Evaluation Points Allocation Results
Your results screen may include your grade and allocated points. The grade in Peerceptiv will reflect whether you completed the task or not. It does not reflect your performance as evaluated by your group members.
The points allocation compares the share of the points that you received. If you received more points in comparison to other students in your group, you may have a points allocation above 100%. The average number of points given to you by your team members is included along with a statement about whether your performance was similar to the group average or whether you over or under-performed in comparison to your group members.
