This article will explain how to release results to students and your LMS grade book if you have enabled the setting "Require Manual Release to Publish Grades."
This setting allows you to hold the grades from publishing until after you have seen them and decided to release them. This allows you to make grade overrides or adjust other grading settings such as the grade curve or the weights of the submission, reviewing, and task grades, before students see the grades and before they are sent back and recorded in the LMS grade book.
After you have looked at the grades and made any adjustments that you feel are necessary, you can release the grades by clicking on the Results tab in the left side navigation bar, and then clicking "Release Results to Students" at the top of the Results page.
If your assignment grades were not held for manual release (check the settings), or if you or another instructor already released the grades for the assignment, the "Release Results" button will not be visible. In this case, you can re-release the grades to students and the LMS grade book by clicking "Recalculate Grades" on the assignment overview screen. This will trigger the grades to recalculate and resend the grade information to students and the LMS.
