Peerceptiv works best when each student uploads their own individual or group submission. If a student needs you to upload their submission for them, follow the directions below. Please read and answer the questions carefully as submissions are uploaded differently depending on the assignment circumstances.
STEP 1: Click on Student Progress and then Details by the student's name. Do you see the assignment listed under the student's name?
- If yes, go to Step 3.
- If no, go to Step 2.
STEP 2: If the assignment is NOT listed under their name and you are using an LMS (Canvas, Blackboard, Brightspace, etc.), the student has not yet clicked on the assignment in the LMS. Please ask the student to click on the assignment link in the LMS. After the student clicks on the link in the LMS, the assignment will populate in their Peerceptiv student details page and you can move on to Step 3.

STEP 3: Is the assignment in the Submission phase?
- If no, go to Step 4.
- If yes, then click Act As by the student's name. Act as the student to upload the document. When acting as the student, click on Submit Document, upload the student's document, and click Confirm. The student's document is now ready for review.
STEP 4: Do you need to replace an existing submission?
- If yes, go to Step 5.
- If no, then click on the assignment name on the student's detail page. Then click Add Submission. Upload the student's document and confirm the submission. The student's document is now ready for review.
STEP 5: Have reviews already been done on the submission, and you want to keep those reviews?
- If yes, go to Step 6.
- If no, then click Delete Submission. Then, click OK to the pop-up window.
By deleting the submission, you are also deleting the reviews completed on that document. You may need to (a) email the reviewers that they have an additional review to complete, (b) check the Stats - Detailed Stats for that assignment and remove any incorrect late submission penalties, (c) re-calculate grades.
STEP 6: If you want to keep the reviews on the submission and replace the submission, click Overwrite Submission. Then, upload and confirm the student's submission. The reviews on the document remain, but please be aware that this may lead to incorrect submission scores or accuracy scores.
