The following directions describe how to set up Peerceptiv in your Moodle courses. They are intended for use after Peerceptiv has been configured for your Moodle site by your university LMS administrator.
1. Enable Cookies: All Peerceptiv users should enable Third Party Cookies in their browser settings. Students also have to enable cookies, otherwise their Peerceptiv sessions within Moodle may be invalidated.
2. Turn Editing on for your Course: Click the toggle in the upper right corner so Edit Mode is on.
3. Add a Peerceptiv Assignment: Access the Add an activity or resource link under any Topic, in order to add a Peerceptiv assignment to that area of your course Moodle site.
Select External Learning Tool and click Add.
On the next page (screenshots below), name your Peerceptiv assignment and select Peerceptiv from the list of Preconfigured tools. Confirm that all Privacy settings are enabled and adjust point value for the Grade. Click Save and Return to Course.
4. Access Assignment Link and Continue Peerceptiv Setup: Click the newly created assignment link. When you first access the link to your first Peerceptiv assignment in your course, Peerceptiv should open in a new window. You’ll be directed to Create a New Course or Copy an Existing Course. You should choose to Create a New Course so that you can create each assignment link in Moodle separately.
After completing and saving the course information, close the Peerceptiv tab. Go back to Moodle and click the assignment link again. You’ll be directed straight to the assignment creation page within Peerceptiv so that you can create the assignment that will be connected to this link in Moodle. We recommend choosing a standard workflow for the easiest assignment setup.
