Please note that Peerceptiv is an external tool available under certain licensing arrangements and only where approved by your school or organization’s instructional technology office. For questions about how to get Peerceptiv at your institution, please contact Peerceptiv Support.
Important Note: Peerceptiv works best when used in Blackboard if you are using Chrome or Firefox. Safari does not always read Peerceptiv's code when used through Blackboard. Please recommend to students that they use Chrome or Firefox when accessing Peerceptiv assignments in Blackboard.
Create a Peerceptiv Assignment
You can add a Peerceptiv assignment to any course Content Area you’d like.
Please select Peerceptiv from the Assessments menu to get started. If Peerceptiv doesn't appear on this page, please contact the Blackboard administrator at your school or Peerceptiv Support, because Peerceptiv has not yet been added as an available tool in your course.
Next, you’ll set up the Blackboard-side assignment settings. Name the assignment and provide a description, and fill out the remaining settings according to your needs.
For students to best access and view the assignment, please set the assignment to open in a new tab.
Next, you’ll set up the Grading settings. Please be sure to select Yes for Enable Evaluation, in order to set up the link between Peerceptiv and Blackboard that allows for grade passback. If the assignment is a non-credit assignment, please select 0 as the Points Possible and select Yes for Enable Evaluation.
Once you fill out all settings and click Submit, you’ll be brought back to the course content area where you’ll see the newly created link to the Peerceptiv assignment. Once you access this link, you’ll be directed through the process of setting up the Peerceptiv-side course settings and assignment settings. When students first access this link, they'll be automatically added to the students list within Peerceptiv.
